Be the Difference in One Life
“When you and I call out the greatness in others, we come alive in ways we never imagined. When we offer a prophetic word of encouragement at just the right time, we partner with God to change someone’s life trajectory.”
— Susie Larson
There are moments in life when God speaks most clearly, not in the noise, not in the rush, but in the quiet.
For some, that quiet comes in the early morning hours, when the rest of the world is still asleep. In those moments, there is a sacred stillness, a peace that invites reflection, prayer, and a deeper connection with God. With distractions set aside and silence surrounding us, our hearts become more attentive to His voice.
It is often in those quiet moments that God reminds us of something powerful: we are called to be a blessing to others.
A kind word spoken at the right time.
A prayer offered on someone’s behalf.
A simple act of compassion.
A moment of encouragement when someone feels unseen or overwhelmed.
These moments may seem small to us, but in God’s hands, they can become life-changing.
When we choose to walk alongside someone in their struggle, offering hope, love, and encouragement, we become vessels of God’s grace. We partner with Him in bringing light into someone’s darkness. And sometimes, that single moment of kindness can shift the course of a person’s life in ways we may never fully know.
As Christians, we are called to live deliberately – to love intentionally, serve faithfully, and listen closely for where God is leading us. It is not simply a calling for a few; it is a responsibility for all of us who have received His love and grace.
What if today we made it our purpose to bless just one person?
One phone call.
One handwritten note.
One encouraging text.
One prayer.
One act of generosity.
One moment of truly seeing someone and reminding them they matter.
Imagine the ripple effect if each of us committed to being that light for one person. The world changes not only through grand gestures, but through faithful hearts willing to show up in ordinary moments with extraordinary love.
Today, may we pause long enough to hear God’s prompting. May we accept His love fully – and then share it freely.
And may we be the difference in at least one life.
Somehow.
Someway.
Sometime.
Preferably today.
